Scilla Andreen (Pronounced Sheila) is the CEO and Co-Founder of IndieFlix and the founder of the IndieFlix Foundation. Scilla is an award-winning industry veteran and a tireless champion of filmmakers. Prior to entering the independent film world, Scilla worked at several major film studios including Sony Pictures and Warner Bros.

Scilla is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, an Emmy nominated Costume Designer and an award-winning Producer of such films as the Sundance hit, Bit Players, Slamdance winner, Outpatient, The Flats and internationally recognized, and award wining, Empowerment Project, Screenagers and the recently released, Angst, a ground-breaking, documentary designed to open up the conversation around mental health, featuring Michael Phelps. Included in Variety’s 2012 Women’s Impact Report as an Executive making a difference, Scilla is a popular speaker at Sundance, Cannes, CES, SXSW, Women in Film, and other major industry events.

Frustrated by complicated and one-sided distribution deals, Scilla co-founded IndieFlix which has become a meaningful global streaming platform and theatrical/community screening service. IndieFlix specializes in edutainment, streaming over 4500 shorts, features, documentaries and television. IndieFlix now finances, produces and distributes social impact films and screens them in thousands of communities around the world. Scilla is on a mission to change the world with film.
