Nick Lopez
Writer, Director
NICK LOPEZ is a Colombian-American writer and director. He was born in Bogotá, Colombia and grew up in São Paulo, Brazil and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He recently graduated from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles with a BFA in Film & TV Production and a Summa Cum Laude distinction. He is passionate about collaborating with women and queer artists both in front of and behind the camera, and hopes that together they can reframe and celebrate minority narratives - particularly of LGBTQ+, Latinx, and working class communities.
Nick's recent Spanish-Language sci-fi short SUNSHINE ROOM was selected as a Semi-Finalist for the Student Academy Awards, and his horror-fantasy short MILK TEETH recently screened at CAA's Moebius Film Festival. He is the co-creator and co-director of the upcoming educational digital series WEST'S NEIGHBORHOOD, which explores the history of racism and discrimination in American Suburbia.
